After meeting unexpectedly and becoming marooned together during a blizzard in the wild South of New Zealand, warring Delhi neighbors Raman and Ishita, who profess to hate each other, discover a mutual all consuming passion. This is the story of the righteous and softhearted Dr Ishita Iyer and the cynical, embittered and temperamental Raman Bhalla, and their mutual love for Raman's daughter, Ruhi, which acts as a catalyst to bring them together. This story explores their discovery of love, passion and desire, and how they fight the odds, their pasts, their warring families and even themselves, to create a life together.
This FanFic is based on the characters from the Indian Television series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, but takes a completely different tangent after the story of the first month of the show. I pick up the tale after the CEO function, when Ishita confronts Raman during his TV interview, after he has her parents arrested due to a misunderstanding.
A variation of this story was first published on India Forums between 2015 - 2018. This Wattpad version has been re-written in parts to explore Raman and Ishita's sensual journey towards happiness, and unabashedly celebrates their fiery physical attraction. If sensuality is not your thing, give this one a miss. Otherwise, read on.

Disclaimer: This is my retelling of the iconic show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein." I am a huge fan of the initial 1.5-2 years which were telecast at 11 pm. Those initial days of YHM are the inspiration for my story. I attempt to close loopholes and expand on relationships and character conflicts that were insufficiently addressed on the show (in my opinion). The characters here are all the same as in the original show. The only difference is that Simi's husband and Ananya's father is a guy named Pulkit. Both Simi and Pulkit are good people and happily married. Param is not a character in this story. If you are unfamiliar with the original characters, please refer to the family trees added with the trailer. Although the story and premise is different, I will be recreating certain tracks that could have gone better in my opinion (Ishita's infertility; custody trial of both Ruhi and Adi; Mani's entry and Raman's jealousy; Ishita's insecurities regarding Shagun; IshRa pregnancy track and Pihu's birth).
