The thoughts of a writer

It takes time to write a story. It takes effort and inspiration and time and so much work. In the end, so much emphasis is put on the reader. On what they would want. On what they could like. On how they would receive the writer's work.

Writers are slaves to the reader.

But what about us? What about the people who sit behind a computer or a phone and spend hours laboring over letters? How do we feel?
