He could see the other boy's eyes widen as he lost his grip, and whatever he tried to yell was lost to the wind.

A year after Citrus wakes up near a city in Unova, missing most of his memories, he's managed to find a home, a best friend, and a meagre source of income, but life has settled down and he doesn't care about delving into the past much in the first place.

He may not want to find out about his past, but his past will chase him until he can't ignore it any further. Between the increasing frequency of cracking-- something said to happen when there's a shift in another dimension-- and the many intermittent disruptions to his otherwise pleasant life, he's starting to think that this is a matter he has to bother about.

Maybe then, he'll learn about the strange way some people are distorted in his eyes.
