Life never goes as planned for Gene he hates himself and life. It doesn't help that he always is getting suicidal thoughts. at age 15 he gets a soulmate string. He doesn't think much of it. A year later he meets his new friends Ruby, Twinkle and Alex. They all have their soulmate strings too. Gene never tells anyone about his depression, and with that he doesn't tell his new friends.Nobody ever sees what he's going thorough ,.and if so they usually don't care.

The amount of points a person has can be seen above their head always. It only disappears once the soulmates have confronted the other. 17 year old Eijirou decided to finally spend his points after years of never truly trying to seek out his soulmate, but it comes with a great mental tole that he's not sure he can handle. Bakugou hadn't ever spent his points, and quite frankly, he didn't have very many in the first place considering that fact.
