Dorking is a small, seemingly quiet, market town in England.

People have lived there for thousands of years and it has a rich, but sometimes troubled history.

It appears in the Domesday Book as the Manor of Dorchinges, however it has sometimes been referred to as Darking.

No one knows why...

There is much hidden in the way we conduct our lives and we each carry burdens that weigh down on us like lead.  

These are the first two stories in my book and they offer a compelling picture of the darkness that smoulders in the streets and within the walls, even those we erect inside. They tell of a world merely a breath away from the one we live in. A place that feels utterly familiar yet deliciously dark awaits.
