Truce, a modern twist on "Anne with an E" Anne Shirley-Cuthbert is a bright and wonderful girl. She comes from a rough past, she was an orphan for the first 5 years of her life until Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert adopted her. The next 12 years were blissful, no matter how hard things got, Anne had her wonderful friends and family by her side. Anne is no little girl now, either. She is a beautiful young 17 year old girl, living her best life in high school, until she takes interest in her all time rival, Gilbert Blythe. Gilbert is a charming young boy, he's an orphan as well, orphaned at the age of 14 when his dad died. His next 3 years were sorrowful, but bearable because of the one and only, Anne Cuthbert. She's hated him since the day he called her carrots and she slapped him with a notebook. But at Anne's 15th birthday party, he kissed her on the cheek and apologized, and they've been friends ever since. Friends, until now. ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO THE WRITERS OF "ANNE WITH AN E"

Gilbert Blythe has a serious problem when it comes to Anne Shirley-Cuthbert - he stares at her too much! "Do you believe in soulmates?" he asks, half-joking, half-wanting to know the answer. "Well, no" she says "I mean, not in the 'I know you from another past life' way... but I do believe in the rare happening of two people that meet by pure and random chance and they just... something just clicks, you know?"
