There was a deadly outbreak in this American town, of folks. A outbreak of a mist where to believe of old ancient times the mist held your own fears. Not only did the mist carry ur worst nightmare it also carried a deadly and life threatening disease that could end your life in seconds. But the only way to clear the mist and stop it, was to kill the person who created it.

It could be anyone, ur friend ur family member or your next door neighbor, time will tell who it is but for the minute, all they can do in run, hide and kill.

Hide and seek just got bloody. Remember what happens in hide and seek? The hider hides and the seeker counts to 20 then finds the hider. If seeked, the hider becomes it. Sahia's Hide or Homocide has a little twist with insanity for others who dare to play the game. The seeker becomes possessed by Sahia Lincoln and the hiders must HIDE. If found, they'll turn into a seeker and become possessed by the ghost of the deceased girl while remaining hiders struggle to survive. If your reluctant to to play, she'll follow you. "That doesn't sound like a good idea..." Dustin gasped to hear a faint male voice coming from the behind. The middle-age looking teacher gazed into Dustin's eyes. He looked like he was hypnotized or zoned out. "Um, why?" Colleen raises her brow at the teacher that they barely even know. "Don't visit that place at midnight." Said he. "It's better to be safe than sorry." He then walked away from Dustin and his group of friends. Dustin turned back around. "Who the hell was that?" He asked confused. "And what was he talking about?" "He probably spied into our conversation and warned us over nothing." Colleen assumes. "Anyways, you guys meet me at Lincoln Drive before midnight." Dustin orders. "

A much-hated man is found dead, his face twisted into a rictus of horror. Young Inspector Visser can't stand the sight of blood or death, so this case was destined to be a struggle, even before a storm hits. The death occurred in an isolated boarding house on Pluvierstraat, The Hague. Fighting nausea as he examines the body, Visser grudgingly concludes that the death is murder by poison. Which of the motley group of suspects is the killer? The blind woman? The practical jokester? The Italian ex-convict? The English bookie? The scarred railroad engineer? Or could it be the pretty piano teacher? Visser orders them all to stay inside the house as he completes his time-consuming police work. The confinement becomes real when a storm strikes, cutting electricity and telephone. Clues mount and tensions rise, and the murderer among them could kill again. The more clues Visser unravels, the closer he comes to becoming the next victim. ---- I tried to channel Agatha Christie a bit. Okay, more than a bit. This story was longlisted in the 2020 "Open Novella Contest," and won 2nd place in the 2022 Punk Rock Awards, Mystery & Suspense category. Comments welcome!
