•"Okay, I guess I'm gonna come right out and say it," he said, pausing for dramatic effect, "Simon is going to sign us!" He wrapped his arms around me, lifting me off the ground and spinning me around. It was then I realized I couldn't do it. I couldn't ruin his future like this. I also wouldn't want my kid, or myself to live in the limelight. Also, it wasn't like we were dating or anything. It was, how he likes to call it, "a drunken mistake," or as I like to call it, "magical." So when he returned me to the ground, I shoved the stick into my back pocket, saying "Th- That's great, Lou."•
