We arrived and with it brought a wash of awkwardness as I idled in the street. In the small set car, we were seated remarkably close to each other, yet I was caught guard when I felt his lips brush against my ear.
"Do you know the definition of serendipity?" with each syllable, his lips got closer to mine. I tilted my head to face his until we were centered.
I was acutely aware of how fast and loud my heart was beating, the rushing blood emitting through my temples and and for a split second I was worried that he could hear.
