"It won't work out," I whispered as he pulled me closer, arms wrapped around me in a secure hug. "The others-" He put a finger on my lips and looked at me with those eyes, and I found myself rendered speechless, trapped not by his arms but by the swirling emotions inside of me. "Everything will be fine," He reassured me, lightly tugging on a lock of my hair before continuing. "The others worry about you, we all do." ~~~ Ria Green and Zachary Peterson were opposites. Zachary was bold, outgoing, almost completely fearless and perfect in every way while still remaining human. Or, that is what Ria thought of him. He was everything she wasn't, he was the life of the party while she struggled to remain calm by the walls. He could charm any girl at school while she was too afraid to talk to another boy. But when a classic trope is in play and the two opposites are forced to work together, they find that they have a lot more in common than you would think. In a world full of constant, dynamic change, it's a struggle to stay true to yourself. It's a struggle to stay static.

Prepare to live. Prepare to die. And mostly prepare to fall in love. An age old High school, a seemingly age old forbidden romance. But will it remain as typical when life for Yrene Jones seems to be taking a new turn every passing second? Read to follow Yrene's journey as she tackles the obstacles through and through. Prepare yourself for the most epic love triangle since the Salvatore brothers and Elena Gilbert; prepare yourself for Yrene Jones, Jason Dawfield and Chase Drew. Cheers! *excerpt* "Answer me goddamit!" He sounded pained and enraged but I too was not going to fall for his shit. Ignoring the sparks I still felt shooting where my arm connected with his hand I backed into the wall. "Why the fuck do you care Chase? Huh? What is it to you if I live or die? Why can't you let me be?" I screamed this at him in a rush of fury, not realising how the gap between us had minimised to zero and how our angry bodies were almost touching, our faces inches apart. "I don't know why I fucking care Yrene, but I do!" He sounded so pained and broken, as if every word was an effort, "So let me care for you! Let me help you get through whatever it is you're facing! You're not fucking alone in this, look around you for once! There are people who care for you! I care for you!" My heart begins to pound uncontrollably in my chest after hearing this but I don't let it show, "But you're just too stubborn to let anyone help you!" He too screams this at me in pure, hot, frustration and I hang my head low with shame. He was right but he had no right to be right. *** There are many errors of tense in this story and I will fix them the moment I complete it. warning: contains mature language and triggering themes.
