Keith remembered the day he almost drowned. That day the one who saved him was not human, humans don't have fins, gills, and a tail instead of legs. He remembered those glowing, deep ocean blue eyes and those shimmering blue scales. But worst of all he remembered pain in those eyes, wheezing, tears, he remembered seafoam. Each day that past he prayed that beautiful creature hadn't sacrificed their own life for his. That was why he spent all his free time researching the so called mythical creature, that is, mermaids, in hopes of finding the one that saved his life to see that beatiful creature still living and to thank them for saving his life. One day, however, he meets with a boy with the same deep ocean blue eyes, and the same face he vaguely remembered. This boy however was very much human, no fins, no gills, no tail, only an ordinary set of legs. So why does Keith still find himself drawn towards the ocean eyed boy?
Ugh... Why is this description so long???
Just an extra note: if you notice things missing in character descriptions it's not that I've forgotten I just have my reasons... Also I totally feel like I've been messing around with this story more so don't count on particularly amazing writing 😅

Keith always had a hard time interacting with others but then he met Lance who always seemed so carefree and compassionate. He pulled Keith out of his little bubble and showed him a world so vibrant he never thought it possible and for the first time he fell in love with this boy, more radiant than the sun, but also, serene like the ocean. Naturally, he was at a complete loss and even more so when he finds out... ...I feel like I overdid this description... This is what happens when I procrastinate... Also just a note I actually started writing this in 2017... I mean, shouldn't be too much of an issue unless you're extremely nitpicky about the most minor details that may have changed with the release of newer seasons not sure because I still need to go back and check what I wrote lol but hey it's an AU as well so anything goes really (kind of)... Yeah... I hope this fic is actually decent, it's the first fic I've ever written but feel free point out any grammatical, spelling etc. errors so I can fix them! Writing The Tides
Keith is a university student and aspiring writer. The only problem is, he's been struggling with writer's block since basically the dawn of time. Or at least since second semester started. The teacher likes him at least, and accepts his insanely depressing stories off as "experimenting with emotions". But this semester, things are buckling down. Not only will the class be doing short stories pertaining to certain prompts every other week, but their final, given to them on the first day back, is a completed, not so short, story all inspired by whatever word they draw from the pile. And with Keith's luck, his word is the thing he hates most: the ocean. So in the midst of trying to figure out what exactly he's gonna do with all this "idiotic bs", he might have stumbled upon a whimsical aquarium, and a cuban hearthrob who might've ended up being Keith's writing muse.
