Those words were like needles to my heart. But I didn't leave the team, I didn't want to because I still loved basketball unlike any other thing in my life. Until one game that changed my whole entire life.
He wasn't behind me like he always were. He wasn't passing me the ball like he always will. He wasn't asking for the ball like he always will. He just went solo.
He wasn't the only one who has changed. All of them changed and I couldn't stop it. In the end, I changed too.
After all the running, my parents decided to move back to Japan after almost 1 and a half years. Going back to Japan I knew I would meet them again, I would meet him again. This time, I want to face my problems instead of running away. If I can change myself back.
I'm Aira Ryūzaki and this is the story of my basketball journey.
