Mariana, a fierce archangel, stops to stalk a human. The doctor is amazing at his hospital, but he wonders if the recent death of his patient is a result of life events that distracted him.
He eventually comes face to face with danger. Joe and his coworkers are drunk and out for revenge. Mariana abandons her duties to save this man who is a good father and role model. Getting involved causes them to fall in love, but at what consequences?

She sets out to discover the real reason he is in danger. Mariana meets Dasia and adores her. They get along just fine, or so it seems.
Chief Reginaldo believes Dr. Anthony is way overdue for a vacation. He assigns nurse Mariana to take care of the doctor's wounds and broken arm while on vacation. Dasia is given freedom to use dad's credit card to plan and pay for the vacation to Florida and then California for a four-day, three-night cruise.
Mariana knows the threat of danger is present and the only way to protect the doctor is to be near him while still getting her duties done. By this time, he is deeply attracted to her, but is trying not to show it. Dr. Anthony starts to reveal his feelings, delicately, since he and his daughter were recently grieving. Despite the urge to give into her feelings, Mariana knows she is a divine warrior angel with a duty to protect mankind from evil.
AN old flame arrives and gives a three-day warning that he will kill the doctor. But this was just a distraction. Mariana is caught off-guard and knocked out. Dasia is kidnapped, and the doctor wants answers.
Dr. Anthony gets help from the most unlikely source. A small battalion of fallen angels are battling the doctor. During this time, he has an unlikely source of help, plus Mariana and they prevail and save Dasia. In the process they lose Joe, the father of the girl the doctor could not save. The Same Joe who attacked him in the alley. Now Joe has saved his life and died in the process, leaving his canine to watch over the new family.
