Adrien Agreste is different. He was born with a curse. He could kill and destroy anything he touched. Ignored and misunderstood by his father, he believed he was a monster. After a tragic accident, Adrien fled deep into the woods where no one could ever find him. He was ashamed of himself and didn't want to harm anyone else. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, however, had a very different life. Like Adrien, she had special powers. But she had the power of fortune and good luck. When a mysterious villain with powers of his own comes after Marinette, fate puts these two together. She is very suspicious of Adrien and doesn't trust him at first. But eventually, she decides that he is the only one that can help her. Along the way, she makes the frightening discovery. How will these two survive the rage of the villain that is on their tail, not to mention the pressure from normal society? Can they prove to be heroes for their city? But how easy will that be for Marinette, whose partner is a notorious monster?
