It's the summer & Grace will be going to high school when school starts back, she dreads this day because everyone in school hates her & always has. No one ever takes time to get to know her. She likes this boy next door named Tristan & never has the guts to even tell him hello, she just stares. Until one day she is sitting outside on the porch knitting & Tristan comes over & sits with her & talks. As time progresses they fall in love. He doesn't know but Grace is having to make big sacrifices to even see him. One day Grace opens up to him & tells him her whole life story. After she vents to him, he cuts off all contact with her & tragedy strikes at its worst. Tristan lands himself a spot in the big house for one of the secrets that Grace told him. Now Grace thinks that the one person that she thought loved & understood her hates her.
