"You are no longer who you were before."

--

You were once a normal city dweller, when the opportunity of a lifetime handed straight to you. Now you must decide, are you a P.H.A.N.T.A.S.M or a KAIROS?

"Death, I think I could handle. It's the waiting that kills me." Humanity is no more. Struggling out of the rubble are the Lumière and the Fos, two races whose only edible source of food is the hearts of one another, and no matter how much they eat they're eternally hungry. Perhaps they were once the same-- brothers in humanity-- but now they're brothers in cannibalism. Though these monsters may look human, it's important to remember they are anything but. They are not alive, and they are definitely not human. Kai Chrysostom's brother, Ash, just died. He was the family's Sawney, the hunter of Fos: the one who went into the white plains just beyond the city walls to hunt Fos for food so his family could live. Most days, he would arrive home, place heart after heart on the dinner table and smile at his brother, whose constant twitching and childhood disease meant he could never kill a Fos himself. Now, the task falls to Kai. Considered by most to be disabled, Kai has no hunt training, a fear of death, and worse-- a fear of the past. A death. A journey. Eternal hunger. A hunt he never wanted to join. And love. A girl Fos who spares everyone except him, and takes pity on the poor fool as he literally faints at the sight of blood in front of her. A prison. A savior. A loss. More death. And the past that demands to be remembered. And, it's great-- you've sympathized with your only source of food-- but you're hungry. And, deep down, you know you must eat. ~~~ 45,205 words! Finished! Finally~!!

Engram Synchronization Initializing... I I I _______ _______ Life Path : Corpo _______ _______ I I I Upload Complete - Opening File... Y/n L/n, a senior at Arasaka Academy, slightly older then his close friend David Martinez. Related to Moira L/n and step-father Jiro Sasaki, no information regarding the biological father but it seems there is no desire for Y/n to know their father as the relationship between them and their step-father is very positive, even more so then their relationship with their mother which some report it to be almost combative. Y/n is nearing graduation and agents have suggested offering them a job in Arasaka's Counter Intelligence Division. - - - - - - - Story Summary: Y/n is the child of one of Arasaka's Netrunning Division second-in-command, Moira L/n and step-child to NC Boxing coach and Ex-Heavy weight boxing belt champion Jiro "Pain Train" Sasaki. Y/n has proven to have a solid understanding all things Net-related and technical; however, Y/n is one to shy away from conflict relaying on keeping to himself and manipulating from the shadows in order to keep themselves off the frontlines. This story will detail the rebel trail one corpo will travel in order to uncover the sick truth underneath Night City, to love and lost, to confront the streets where only the most unrelenting mercs will survive. So what will this corpo rat turned street beast have to offer and will it be enough to become a NC legend or will they be just another number scrapped out of the gutter. [I do not own any Cyberpunk 2077 or Cyberpunk Edgerunner assets, this is merely fanfiction based on both series.]
Starpiercer: Sunlight's Edge by Neptondoodle
22 parts Complete Mature
Nobody said Rock Hauling would be easy. Throughout settled space, terraforming is the fuel that drives the interstellar economy. For some worlds, this is easy. For others, lacking resources, or on the periphery, this is an unattainable dream. Through the eyes of workers, astronauts and intellectuals, Sunlight's Edge follows an attempt to revitalize the crumbled terraforming project of the barren, poverty-stricken and resource-poor planet of Tylo. To carry this out, the beggared planetary government has commissioned the crew of the aging, if powerful asteroid-cracker Caroline Rowland to make the three-month journey to a distant asteroid belt and tug a selected asteroid back into orbit for conversion into a space station. This is difficult enough by itself, but located in a strategic demilitarized zone between two rival interstellar hegemons, Tylo and it's project may be the flashpoint for a conflict of apocalyptic proportions, with the Caroline Rowland and her crew as the spark that lights the tinder. This is the debut novella for the world of Starpiercer, a planned series of novels set in the 200-world region of Solace with accompanying illustrations, sketches, maps, technical details and more. Read along to meet alien species, experience real and speculative technologies, and follow a sprawling interconnected narrative over multiple novels and multiple series, with fully realized histories, culture groups, physics, biology, anthropology and thousands of pages of worldbuilding. This story has been fully written, and more sections will be published daily, hourly, or in other chunks.

"Let's face it, Galahad, your little experiment failed." "Guinevere." Galahad continued, ignoring Arthur's remark. "She has a younger sister, and I believe if they share the same blood, than perhaps she might be the best candidate to step into her sister's shoes." There was silence while Arthur considered his options, then he finally said, "Alright. Let's see how well this experiment goes, compared to your previous one." __________________________________________________________________ (Y/N) is nothing like her sister, the Kingsman "Guinevere", or her father, a deceased soldier who fought with Harry Hart in their prime. She doesn't do 'teamwork', and she couldn't give a shit about saving the world even if it hit her in the face. She stopped trying to be like her sister years ago. She's what everyone, including herself, would call a delinquent now; an outcast of what is left of her broken family. But when the only person she had left dies attempting a rescue mission in Argentina, she might just have to change the way she sees herself. Perhaps with a little help from a frustratingly likable street kid with an odd name. ___________________________________________________________________ Reader meet Eggsy. Delinquent meet snob-spy world. Nasty, wanna-claw-my-eyes-out writing, characters, and plot, meet Fanfiction. What could possibly go wrong? I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS, OR PLOT, OR WORLD OF KINGSMAN, excluding the MC's personality, story arc and/or background. This is simply for entertainment and writing practice honestly.
