In a broken world where children are hunted and sold for bounty or barely surviving in rehabilitation camps, a close-knit group of children lurk in the shadows of Ohio, dodging the clutches of skip-tracers and the ruthless people of the Zone. Among this group is Freckles, a girl with a forgotten past and a secret that could put a target on her back.

When trust is a thing of the past, Freckles has to decide who is really on her side and who just wants to manipulate her for her dangerous abilities.

In a world where fear starts to develop among adults, the surviving teens start to be hunted down. When Morgan has finally found a place in the world, a stranger comes along and claims he knows her. But, she doesn't remember him. Soon she learns that there is a whole past behind her that is different than what she thought. But if there are different people telling promising stories about her life, then who is she supposed to trust? She wants to believe Raiden and all the stories he tells about their life. But why does her mind tell her something different? And wouldn't she remember having a sister that she would do anything for? Perhaps her best option is to trust Clancy after all, the person who has kept her safe for as long as she knows. Follow Morgan through her forgotten memories and the road on how to get them back. In this weird cycle of events, who will she trust? Will she trust her mind or her feelings? Top 5 rankings: #1 - Mindcontrol #1 - Clancy #4 - tdm #4 - The darkest minds #34 - Orange All credits for this story go to Alexandra Bracken, who wrote the amazing book series 'The Darkest Minds'. Her story about this great world inspired me to write this fanfiction (also readable for people who haven't seen or read the The Darkest Minds series). For anyone wondering what you should read, I highly recommend her books.

"All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed." Lillian, a girl born in the state of Virginia, finds herself forced to live in a world of hatred and violence. 97% of the teenage population in America is killed by the disease known as IAAN and Chelsea is part of the remaining 3%. The surviving kids, however, change. They develop dangerous and uncontrollable psionic abilities, classified into five colors by degree of danger: -GREEN: impressive development of intelligence; -BLUE: telekinesis; -YELLOW: electrokinesis or manipulation of electric currents; -RED: pyrokinesis; -ORANGE: mind control and brain manipulation. Hated and feared by adults, the survivors are taken to 'rehabilitation camps', where they are promised a cure that unfortunately never comes through. So it's up to Lillian and all the other kids like her to learn to thrive in the dark and create their own light. This story is taken from the series 'The Darkest Minds' by Alexandra Bracken. I only own this specific novel and its characters.
