Katie Clementine wanted nothing more than to be loved. Living on the Southside made it hard to get close to anyone. When she met Malachai she thought she finally found the love she always wanted. As her relationship with the kids on the Northside improved Malachai got angry. When he got angry things got bad.
As time went on she thought that it was her fault he was awful to her. But all it takes is one Serpent to help her see that she deserves more. That she deserves to be loved.
