After years of fighting, the paladins of Voltron return to the place they call home; Earth. With all their families waiting for them, the paladins find themselves content at last. But for Keith and Lance, that's not the case. Lance thought that seeing his family would make him happy again, but he finds that Keith is making him smile the most. For Keith, he has always been content with being alone. But for some reason, his heart is aching to be near Lance. Between fighting a war that seems impossible to win, returning to a world where old wounds are reopened, and protecting the one place they thought they were safe, Keith and Lance find what they needed all along in each other. It started with a rivalry, and ended with an epiphany.

Damaged Beyond Repair
Lance knows that he's annoying. He knows that he's a flirt, and that his jokes are always terrible. That's why the kidnapping by the Galra fleet, didn't bother him all that much. His team would just be better off without him getting in the way of everything. He just slowed them down. The Galra need information. Every blow they shot at the paladins of Voltron, didn't seem to do much. The capture of the Blue Lion and its rider was what they needed to find out how to win against the pesky earthlings. Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Shiro, Coran, and Allura are worried. With Keith stressing himself out over the wellbeing of his kidnapped friend, and Pidge looking all over for said friend, the paladins of Voltron are not on their best.
