Today I'm turning my fiction to reality. ❣️•••❣️ Excerpt: Just as I was about to seek shelter under some building's roof, the tires of a car come to a halt, I wonder who might pity the lonely girl walking in the rain. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly. Cuz that kind of stuff only happens in Wattpad books. Someone texting or calling the wrong number, they fall in love, meet in person, confess their undying love for each other, happily ever after, the end. Too cliché. Even for me. - Gracie Summers was born with a brain injury which led to dysarthria. She hardly every spoke to anyone outside her family, and even then, she used short sentences. Life is as intense as you want it to be. People in it will bring either tremendous joy or an unbearable pain. She could heal in revenge, hell being her home. But healing through words is the only way of keeping her sanity. Covering the shades of black and white with a thin gray line has never helped anyone before, but painting all those hurtful moments in colors had made the world a better place to live in: resentments under a rug of a smile. Just like a [kodachrome], colorful and vivid in an era filled with sadness. Poetry, short stories, and thoughts. *Mostly fictional with some bases on past, real situations.
