I opened the door, got out of the car and slammed the door. Upon the slamming of the door, everyone's head snapped in my direction. I can't say I blammed them for giving me a death stare. So instead of acting like it affected me, I placed a large smile on my lips and started walking. Their gazes followed my every step and I realized how quiet it had gotten. I pushed through the silent, staring crowd and walked to the front doors. With a last deep breath, I opened the doors and headed into the school. The office was to my left so I decided to go there first. My smile was begining to fade as I saw the inside of the huge school. I'd be lost in no time. Positive thoughts. Keep happy. Stay alive. I entered the office with that last thought. Staying alive suddenly seemed harder then it should be. ///// Elsa Willcrown moved. Again. Her mother seemed to always be getting new jobs and having to move to new places but this place was to far. Way to far. When she steps into the high school, Lupus High, Elsa feels just about as helpless as she really is. Because Lupus High isn't just any high school. No it is full of werewolves. And Elsa seems to be the only human there. And things get even more complicated when her mate finds her. Her mate is literally freaked out about her being human. "Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me. Kelvin was hunted by scary nightmares throughout his whole life but what could be scarier than to discover that the nightmares are actually his reality, not just that but he also has a destiny to fulfill. ******************************************** EXCERPT His mind was awoke but not his body, it looked like he was having sleep paralysis but deep inside he was struggling for his life. The same frequent nightmare. He was back in the familiar forest, all the settings were same but today was different. Kelvin was on his heels while the beast after him. He had seen the beast set a local hut that obviously had people inside it on fire, the agonizing cries filled the forest hunting his sanity and before long blood started oozing out of the hut. Kelvin was so frightened that he couldn't help a scream escaping his mouth and that's how the beast noticed him. The run was long and torturous for Kelvin, for reasons he can't tell his body was heavy and difficult to move and the creature was getting closer with each passing seconds. They continued racing racing until Kelvin lost it, he halted to catch his breath but then he saw the same creature in his front with an evil smirk on its face showing his big fangs, his elongated nails were dripping with blood. " No matter how long you run, you can't run away from me. It's your destiny that I shall destroy you and then there will be no more prophecy! The beast continued with a smirk as he comes closer bit by bit. The moment Kelvin tried to run again it stretched his hand and grabbed his shoulder pinching him with the sharp nails... I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. The clouds had parted from where they were, revealing the moon at its fullest. I stared in awe. It had never been so bright. The ambiance began to come back. The wind began to dance with the trees. I closed my eyes. The scent of oak filled my nose and exhaled through my mouth. The aroma filled me with exhilaration. It filled me with something I couldn't explain. I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time. Although it was something I wasn't used to feeling, I craved it deeply. I felt happy. I felt as if nothing else mattered than this moment. I opened my eyes. Everything seemed clearer. I could see the particles of dust flying in the beam of light that shone around me. I wanted to stay here for longer. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react.
