Two years after the android uprising in Detroit, Michigan, androids are finally living among humans with no laws dividing the two species. Although the United States announced androids as a new form of intelligent life, many humans have yet to adapt to the integration of androids into their every day life. Connor, an RK800 prototype model, works alongside Lieutenant Hank Anderson at the Detroit Police Department, where many of the officers are still opposed to the addition of androids in their day to day job. Only a few people on the force accept Connor as one of their own, and he struggles to fit in as "one of the team." That is, until Detective Gray Parker joins the team after moving from Boston.
