Allen Thorn has ASD, and though he's highly functioning he still has a hard time navigating in the world around him. This is especially true concerning his feelings for a friend of his brother's girlfriend. Being sheltered from middle school in home schooling isn't helping his social Kung-Fu either. Mr. Thorn is going to have to adapt to Houston public schooling in order to graduate.

Life however is a bed of roses and roses have many more thorns than petals. Just as Allen's social life is getting established a mystery unfolds that is really a thorn in the side. Then life throws its signature curb balls: bullies, betrayal, blackmail, screw up, et cetra, et cetra into the brew. Can Allen survive Houston public schooling, establishing a love life, and the mystery enveloping his friends? Or is this crimson bed made up of roses, blood or his deathbed?

He has everyone and everything in his grasp. He can do whatever he pleases at school. He began bullying Harvey on the second day of his arrival. It became more violent in the recent months.
