The Awakening

It's a new world out there and within this world, chaos has risen.

Mass casualty incidents occurring frequently with no way to stop it. The only lead to answers are the single survivors that emerge from these accidents, but these aren't normal survivors, they come out different- stronger, faster, smarter; people who are referred to as 'the awakened.'

Surviving is only seen as miraculous a select few times before suspicion sets in and you're considered dangerous. It isn't long until a worldwide law is passed that gives officials the right to contain those survivors until they're properly examined and questioned.

When Gray Lanson falls victim to her own survival, she realizes that she is now one of the much-feared awakened that are wanted and knows there is nothing else to do but run. Coming close to capture, Gray is discovered by a group of other awakened survivors just like her, lead by Emeric, a man with a need for vengeance against those in power.

When the two meet, they are shocked to realize they have a strange connection to one another, too strange to be considered normal. Together they try and unravel the mystery behind why they've awakened which proves more difficult than it seems.

Two people, two conflicting opinions, and only one chance to find the truth.

When long-kept secrets come to life Gray and Emeric will stop at nothing in trying to get the answers to the number one question that has been playing on their minds for years,

"Why did I survive?"

It won't be easy, there is danger everywhere they go but if they can manage to stay alive, they can unravel the secrets behind why they have awakened and find a way to ensure the safety of others like them.

It's a new world out there and in a world anew, to survive is to conquer.
