Riley Scott is the leader of Project Void; a project that is trying to use the Void of space to find a new home for humanity, as the earth isn't fit for living on anymore. Riley is responsible for finding a way for the human race to prosper elsewhere.
Then she discovers DSEC, the Deep Space Exploration Companion. The DSEC is a form of AI that will be able to successfully pilot a spaceship through the space Void and to Mars in mere minutes. Riley's mission now is to take the trip herself, and put this AI to the rest.
