Assayer Neerada, having seized control of Star Destroyer Reaver, plans to go on the offensive against the Assayers Mahon and his master, Titus Perdition. Infiltrating the experimental Imperial facility in the Taneeth system, her actions will have potentially galactic consequences. But she is not alone: helping her is Princess Ella Malquet, ever more confused by the powers she is only just beginning to understand, and Princess of Farsalt Tayre, who has helped convince Captain Pina of the Reaver to employ the Mon Calamari Cruiser in her battle for justice on the Imperial war criminal, Commodore Sarn.
