In this version of the my hero Academia universe, when quirks started appearing another form of humans appeared to. We call these humans that showed up around the same time as quirks, mermaids.
The reasoning behind this is because of the things their bodies can do and look like. These so-called mermaids have fish like tails and the abilities to breathe and see Crystal clearly underwater, since the mermaids do not have any legs they are not able to walk on land and usually live underwater in oceans. Not only that the mermaids have unique fins that go up there arms and backs. And for some mermaids they're able to fly for short amount of time out of water. On top of everything they still have their own personal unique quirks just like any other human.
The humans loved the way every tail and fin are different for every mermaid. Humans wanted there power's, but they wanted there fins more. The mermaids
slowly where becoming less and less considered humans. Because of this, a new profession started. This profession is named hunter. A hunter's job is to hunt mermaids, kill them, and to cut there fins of. The hunters would sell, or keep the fins. The fins of a mermaid normally cost up to $100.
Hunter's would need to go to school up to three years to get there license. People without license started to hunt the mermaids, because of that it became illegal for a person without a proper license to hunt or even interact with a living mermaid.

Y/N is terrified of using her quirk. Killing her parents when she was a child, she swore never to use her quirk again. But when it activates again, many years later, she decides to run away from her past. Everything is going well until she gets caught up in a villain attack. Forced to use her quirk, she is recognised by a certain famous hero and ends up going to the prestigious UA High, school for heroes in training. She discovers that she wants to become a hero, and tries to fit in as the new student. But her lack of knowledge about the world and lack of control on her quirk pulls her down. Just as soon as she thinks she's got her emotions under control, villains enter the scene. The past is in the past... isn't it? ________________________________// + Y/N's Quirk: Time + Her quirk allows her to speed and slow time for herself. For example, she can make a second turn into a minute for only her. While everyone and everything is frozen, she can move freely. After the minute is over, everything turns back to normal. There is a price for using her quirk: the amount of time that was sped up or slowed down will happen again later, although in the opposite way. Say, if she slowed down a second to become a minute, later in the day time will speed up and a minute becomes a second. Y/N cannot yet control when this happens, and she can't speed or slow too much of time a day (unless her quirk is out control).
