Eleven years old, Jasmine Cooper only child and best friend with her loving father Matt Cooper moves away from her hometown to start a brand new life together.

However, Jasmine only agrees in belief that it will give her better chances of finding her long lost mother with high hopes that she's somewhere out there using her passion for music as a way to get to her.

Soon enough, thanks to Jasmine's outgoing and friendly personality; the young girl quickly makes friends at her new school.
But little does she know, she accidentally falls in love with her best friend.

In this journey of self discovery and maturity, Jasmine has to comes to terms with her own feelings towards the boy she loves despite her stubbornness and denial about it.

However, when her father soon becomes a music teacher at her school, she questions his past with music and why he's never shared his incredible talent for the art as the man hopelessly falls in love with her teacher, much to her disapproval.

The little girl also discovers more of her dad's past and what kind of person he once was.
Only finding out that she has had secrets kept from her and been constantly lied to her entire life, breaking that perfect bond and trust they once had that kept their father and daughter relationship so strong.

Will Matt ever tell her daughter the truth, even if she doesn't want to hear it?
Will Jasmine ever forgive her father and be in good terms with him ever again?

But, what Jasmine doesn't understand is that these lies and secrets that were kept from her was only to protect her and keep her safe from the harsh truth.
