This story is about a 14 year old girl named Dakota and her 12 year old sister named Sarah. Dakota and Sarah have been moved from foster home to foster home since Sarah was 2. They finally ends up in a foster home that they stay in for a while, but it's not one of the good ones. One day their step dad walks into their bedroom drunk and tries to abuse them, they get out of there before anything can happen and they run into someone on the sidewalk.
