A fairy tale of the son of a Duke who would rather become a musician than a knight in shining armour. This is a story about family karma, suffering from parental expectations and healing through true understanding.

The storyline of 'The Two Owls' is loosely based on a 19th-century fairy tale from Posen (former Province of Prussia). The title of the original is 'The Travelling Singer and the Earl's daughter'. The original has a popular theme of a damsel in distress and a predictable outcome: the travelling musician releases the wealthy daughter from her suffering and wins her hand in marriage as a reward, while the wicked witches are killed.

'The Two Owls' is woven around a different message. This is a contemporary fairy tale about the son of a Duke who is suffering from a mysterious illness. A travelling musician comes to the rescue in this story as well. He also gets rewarded by the wealthy father. But the greatest reward lies elsewhere, and everybody wins.
