This story is about 2 girls during a summer they will never forget it starts off with carly and rosie they were spending the day at rosies grandmothers house in upsate new York where they find a ginormous rock in the forest they show grandma the rock and say they can keep it the girls wondered what was inside so they got a hammer and smashed they were in awe that inside were gorgeous and mesmerizing shades of blue and purple carly saw something strange and said "is that a fairy" carly picked her up and the fairy awoke.
