Your ad read "life partner" someone to take on this world with, to face the demons of life and enjoy the sunset beside. you wanted a family and a home. and like any normal person, to be loved.

I grasped onto that ad as if it was the last strand left of my own sanity. what you failed to mention was you wanted it on your terms. the ad should have read "maid needed" because this is not facing the world and holding hands, sunsets and rainbows. this is me keeping house and caring for a child we made and a dog we adopted, this is me being the best I can with no idea when help will come. you come and go as you please blaming it on the need to pay bills as if that helps the bags in my eyes or the torn heart inside of my chest. I hold this house together. I make it a home so when you decide to come back it feels like gold to you.
