Here is a concept of a story I wrote a while ago about finding even when the odds are against you.
I wrote the protagonist without a gender as I believe the reader should be able to imagine themselves in the characters shoes whether they be male or female;

Tommy Shultz is the jock that every woman wants and every guy wants to be. He's good looking, surprisingly intelligent and confident. His college scholarship is going to take him to the big leagues and he isn't afraid to break hearts along the way. But behind closed doors he hides a secret. A dark one. Can Tommy accept his newfound self? He knows his father won't. Can he push forward, or will he end it all? In this telling of the classic Jock/Nerd fantasy, bonds of love will be formed, hearts will be broken, and tragedy will change the reader forever.Complete
