Getting through the apocalypse alive has cost you your family, and bought you a scar on your face, and the sense of abandonment you have been left with. Well, in truth, what won you such fortune was the terrible secret you harbor. For one thing, you are special. And the other: you're screwed. Or so you thought, until you entered a seemingly empty house looking for food, and met a tall stranger smelling of cigarette smoke, and you both see each other as a chance to get better. Now you're not just struggling to save your own life.

Hi! I'm SDS. This story will offer the reader the chance to get with any of the five kinds of special infected in the first Left 4 Dead game. The hunter, smoker, boomer, witch, and tank. Once you read through the story, you will get to choose which character you end up with! This is a WIP.
Each character has an original personality semi based off of canon attributes, the fandom's portrayal of each kind of infected, and personal bias.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. This is a story about my Left 4 Dead 2 character named Delilah. This will have romance and gore in it. You have been warned about the gore.
