The Fighter (Stephen James)

In a society filled with Princess-Barbie type girls obsessed with mani-pedis and makeup, Kelsie's father, a professional fighter, raised a tenacious tomboy obsessed with cars and sports.

After a brawl broke out with a neighbourhood kid when she was younger, her father noticed she had a natural talent and began training her. Her skills developed rapidly, and with age, she started dreaming of becoming a professional fighter just like her dad, but she thought it was just that; a dream.

With most dreams, comes heartbreak, which she quickly experienced firsthand after her parents were murdered. The loss knocked her down a few emotional pegs into a pit of depression. That depression singlehandedly led to her hanging out with the wrong people and keeping the wrong company. That wrong company resulted in a swift nose dive into the world of illegal underground bare-knuckle boxing.

She reluctantly accepted how things were in her life, but that all changed when she ran into an old childhood friend on one of her late night underground escapades. He invited her to check out the gym he trains at, and they quickly developed a humorous love-hate relationship that quickly blossomed into something more special. That's when her life seemed to turn around for the better, or so she thought.

The demons of her past came back to haunt her, swiftly taking their deadly hold on her soul for the second time. The dangerous life she so desperately wanted to get out of, and did manage to escape from, doubles back in full swing with a lethal vengeance, sucking her in again.

In an unfair world where nothing is easy and in a plot filled with corkscrew twists, is she able to be brought back towards the light again before it's too late? Or is she forever engulfed in the darkness that is the streets?
