"That's the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she sees the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it's impossible to ever see the end. The fog is like a cage without a key." -Elizabeth Wurtzel

Lizzy was the popular girl in school. She had everything she ever wanted. But when her sister committed suicide, she lost everything. She quickly became depressed and most of her friends abandoned her.

Luke was never liked throughout his school years and was often bullied. He has only one friend who helps him through every problem. His parents abuse him, and he often harms himself.

When Lizzy and Luke run into each other in the hallways of their school, they become friends and maybe even more. But there is always one looming question. Will they survive through the bullying and abandonment?
