Takeshi looked at me when I was looking at him.
Our eyes locked for a split moment before I looked away.
'What was that?' I thought.
I placed my hand over my heart. 'Why is my heart beating so fast? What does this mean?'
I stole a quick glance at Takeshi before looking away.
Miyuki is a girl with a secret. She isn't born a surface person nor an ocean person. She's a mix of both, therefore, she's forbidden from living in the sea.
Her curse: She can never swim in the sea. Her odd cyan eyes show she's a mix
Yukkine is a boy who had parents from the sea. They left the sea to live on land.
His curse: He is exiled from living in the sea. His eyes show he's a traitor to the people of the sea.
When Miyuki and Yukkine meet new students Namiko, Satoshi and Takeshi, they seem to get along well.
Too well...
Chaos stirs in the sea village. The people of the sea are forbidden from seeing Yukkine and Miyuki.
But what secrets can the Yokai of the sea be hiding that is so dangerous that all connections be cut? And for how long?
