I was 10 then.
I was reading through my maths text book. No I'm not a nerd and I do not find reading through maths books entertaining.
I had a test the following day that I did not revise for and was rushing, trying to remember all the information
"Savannah" I heard my name being called. I was sure my dad left my room when he thought I went to sleep. I was alone in the room
I must be imagining it
"Savannah.." the same voice called only getting closer and louder
I hid under my blanket
"Savannah... Savannah... Savannah" the voice becoming so loud and close I was sure someone was there

Shadows
I'm so afraid. I haven't been able to sleep for some time now. They keep me awake. Every night they come from out the shadows and speak to me. Every night I can hear their laughter, their whispers. The shadows on the walls twist and churn as what lurks within them moves. Every so often I catch a glimpse of one of their too-wide smiles. The things they say to me are unspeakable. It is so wondrous. They fill my head with things I never thought possible. As I lay awake in bed at night, listening to them, I am afraid to hear them. I'm afraid, because I think I'm beginning to enjoy it more and more. I cannot wait until everyone else can hear them too. Until everyone can feel this bliss.Complete

She's talking out loud to herself he concluded after that. Katherine wasn't paying attention to him. "To ask you out to dinner." Nicholas answers trying to get her attention so she realizes his intentions. "Katherine have dinner with me." "No, I can't" Katherine say after. He saw a look of confusion on her face. I'm being very clear. I don't see what she's confused about. "How do you know my name?" He hears her answering his own question. Why is she asking me this? I'm her best friend, of course I know her name. Nicholas didn't understand the previous question. "Because we've met before." The look that comes over Katherine's face is bewilderment. She doesn't get anything I'm saying. Its almost like I'm talking to a stranger. The thought shook Nicholas to his core because he's telling the truth. Katherine didn't believe him. He knew he's right after what she says next. "We've never met before aside from you stalking me," she tells him. Nicholas felt his entire world shatter around them.
