Kākau the Wolf lives alone in a small town called Ke Kai Kuleana, or Shore Town. She is deaf in her right ear, which makes it hard for her to communicate in her quiet town. To make matters worse, she has a serious case of anxiety. The only place where she is truly happy is her garden. One day, Kākau is sent an invitation in the mail. It's an invitation to an exclusive paradise academy on a distant island. She believes it to be shady at first, and she dreaded going to school years back. The invitation did include details, involving a tropical garden and special methods of learning, so she indifferently attended. But later, she finds out she has been set up! Join Kākau and the other students as they attempt to get out of this trap.
