Seto lives a life of isolation, having only been outside of his house a few times, under the careful watch of his parents. But Seto's mum is killed and he blames himself, so does his father, he cooks the dinner, does the washing, irons all the robes, whilst his father drinks out of depression. He is beaten by his father and tortured with magic, but he never lets his emotions slip. So when he gets sent to public school, he meets someone he can't push out of his mind, but has to or else he will suffer, and starts to finally taste freedom, when everything falls apart.

Arcane wizards are the top dogs, without them nothing can work. Without the arcane wizards, the islands that held magic types together have fallen and only an arcane wizard can start the arcane island, which is the main island. But their time is running out, the era of magic is coming to an end and only Seto and his new friends and Amarisa can save magic.
