When Nanshe, Anuket, Vedenemo are whisked away from their normal, undersea lives to become average middle schoolers, they begin to realize the risks of the human world, the great changes in society, and the challenges of growing up as a homosapien. Nanshe, a hipster-grunge gatherer, is tired of working for her mother day in and day out. She finally finds herself on a journey that will take her from all the seaweed, kelp, and ocassional pearl. Anuket, a girly polisher, loves all the shiny jewels she cleanses for the royal crowns. When the time comes to say goodbye, she makes a desicion that may affect her and the entire kingdom. Vedenemo, the Royal Daughter and next in line for the throne, only wants freedom. The demands of a kingdom seem almost as large as the ocean itself!
