When I was a kid every once in a while I would stare across the street out of my window and watch a boy my age play baseball with his dad. It was always out of curiosity. I loved to watch how happy he look. Something about that smile made me feel a little better inside. I would only look out for a few seconds then my parents would come in my room and shower me with love and affection. As the years went by and that little boy transformed into a handsome teenager I found that my curiosity transformed to jealousy. He still played with his dad with that same happy smile only this time my parents weren't there to pull me from the window with smiles and laughs of our own. Now his smile only reminds me of what I will never have again. . . .
