Taki and Ando get approached by someone Taki wish he would forget for the deepest reaches of his memories. In order to protect the memories, he has made over the years. He will fight anyone from that past so his friends won't get hurt.

Taki and the gang make their way down the never-ending staircase and at the other end is the Kingdom of Vulkan where it seems 100 +  years of scientific research into biological studies of the "Spirit Powers" is for not. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions.
