Alerted by a Kun Lun artifact, Mo Yuan seeks out the mysterious tiger goddess, Lian Yi, who claims to be the owner of the sacred Soul Jade Bracelets. Unwilling to hand over the artifact, Lian Yi proposes a bet to return the artifact in 1,000 years. However, the death of Mo Yuan dulled the promise.

Nearly 70,000 years later, the two gods meet again at the wedding of Bai Qian and Ye Hua. After the sudden disappearance of one of the bracelets, the Moon Jade, the two come to the agreement of protecting the remaining Sun Jade in Kun Lun Mountain. As they investigate, they begin a new friendship leading to love. But Mo Yuan soon pieces together that Lian Yi has stepped foot on Kun Lun long before they met.
