To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable sorrow, to run where the brave dare not go". I think of My Mother as one of those irons will rarely speak figures of haunt. She grew up in one of those poor third world countries in Nigeria in a village called Katuka, Kaduna state. She grew up in a brutalized society, who takes girl‟s education as nothing. The kind of Nigerian girls who are destined never to get off the mountain, or out of the village.

EHI

Ehi stood still as rage filled her, God has granted her a second chance and she would damn her soul to the very depths of hell if she didn't use it right. "I am ready",she stated. The duchess smirked as she walked out of the room, nodding at the guard to announce Ehi's arrival. Here comes the celebrant of this glorious night, the butler announced, "LADY EHI MCNIGHTTON OF WILLSHIRE,niece and heir to the DUCHESS OF WILLSHIRE!!!" The giant doors opened wide, bright lights seeping from the ball room, shining directly on her as everyone stood still. Her eyes void of all emotions,a stiff smile on her lips, she walked slowly into her new chapter. Captured from a small village in the times when slave trade thrived in Africa.Enslaved in a new country,Ehi has to learn love and survival in the most gruesome way. When she didn't think life could throw anymore surprises,a certain Duke crossed her path. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTE~~~~~~~~~~ A little history never hurts anyone right?? This book is 70% fiction, the other 30% are well known historical events and facts. I love how i was able to put together everything I love about literature into this book. I love the historical feel it has to it,the romance and how shows a glimpse of my beautiful maternal culture. It's mostly about the history on the slavery of the Edo people in Nigeria during the colonial times. Basically this book (Ehi),is a fictional representation of slavery during the colonial times. I really hope you enjoy and learn alot about my maternal history from it💜. *************** This book is currently undergoing editing. I take full responsibility for all the errors. This book is how i imagine things were for a young girl during those times. It will be nothing like you expected. So,please keep reading and join me on this incredible journey. ⚠️Most of the contents of this book are not facts or actual past events,it is 70% fiction
