We all remember how Rebellion ended; Homura transformed into a demon, rewrote the universe, and split Madoka's goddess self from her human self to keep her and everyone else safe. But what if it went differently?

As in, they were reincarnated in the Matoran Universe?

Meet Madoka, whose split goddess self gave her old Soul Gem and remade it so it wouldn't be destroyed and she could switch between her witch and magical girl forms before being locked away. Now, it's just a place where she can hold her soul to block out pain and a source of power. She's under a boy alias, labeled as hotheaded, tempered, and arrogant when really she's just an incredibly shy girl whose afraid of getting people hurt, so she pushes them away. Stuck with her pressuring 'family' and nobody to confide her horrible past in, she grows colder and number to feelings each day, only knowing sadness, anger, and fear.

Meet Homura, whose locked away demon self finds the original Kanohi Krahkaan and gives it to her, making her a Toa of Shadow. Finding herself in Metru Nui, she creates a mutual alliance with the remaining Visorak (she and her friends don't bother them, they don't bother her or her friends) and sets off to Mata Nui to find Madoka, knowing she's alive. Unfortunately, she arrives in the middle of their search for the seventh Toa.
