"I really like you Lily. Do I need to prove it to you" Ethan said looking in my eyes.
I know he expected me to back out so I did the exact opposite. I took a step forward, crossed my arms over my chest, smirked and said, "I'd like to see you try."
As soon as the words left my mouth his lips were on mine, so soft and plum, his breath smelled minty and fresh. My breathing stopped for a moment.
But then I heard a voice call my name. " Lils " it said, the voice I was yearning to hear, that deep voice I could never forget even if I tried.
My heart thrumming, my body turning numb, my mind blank. But I know It's not the end but rather a start.

"Mels I think we should break up" David said to her, his voice flat, no emotion, as though he wasn't blowing up her entire world with his blunt words. "What?"
