We would see each other at school and parties but when I saw him alone, he was a different person. He was my anchor but I never knew I was his distraction. He used me but I didn't know what for... I've taken every single drug but he was my drug, he was worse than any drug. "I didn't know you smoked." He asked me as he took a cigarette out of his pocket. "Because Of problems at home." "Me too, my mom abuses me." He showed me the scars on his face and they were all so terrifying. I didn't know how alike we were until that day. It all changed..... "I don't get why I can't just hang out with one of my friends!" I said, angrily and confused "I just don't have a good vibe from him okay!?" He yelled back "Why does it matter!!!" "I don't want to see you get hurt." Grayson started to quiet down with that sentence, but that didn't stop me from screaming at him. "But that's part of LIFE GRAYSON. IM GOING TO GET HURT AND I WILL LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!" "Well maybe you should find someone who ISNT a mistake" "Why are you acting like this??" I asked him. He turned back towards me and looked me in my eyes. Throwing his arms up in the air, he yelled "Because I LIKE YOU." It was those words. Those four words hit me like a brick.
