If you asked anyone they would tell you that Tommy's living the dream! He's an internet sensation and has the best friends anyone could ask for. But if you asked Tommy he would say he was far from perfect. Between his eating disorder and his homophobic father he can't help but hate himself. This is made even more apparent when things take a turn for the worst, something that even Tommy couldn't even predict. Will Tommy's friends be able to help him at his all time low or will his overwhelming thoughts get the best of him? Looking back, I really hate how I wrote this. It tries to make sense of the past and explores trauma head on in an unfiltered way that leaves no room for denial. It's a documentation of my entire life, moments both sun kissed and dark. A book written with the new understanding that expressing how you feel is absolutely vital. Most of my poems come from personal experience and some topics may be sensitive to some readers. Some themes included consist of toxic household environments, the loss of loved ones, abusive relationships, suicidal thoughts and actions, and struggling with mental illness.
