Rated Teen After a horrific accident takes her father's life, Chloe's entire world crumbles. She falls apart, in more ways than one. After all, he was her best friend. One could say she was a daddy's girl. But, somehow Chloe picks herself up, piece by piece, and focuses on what would make him proud of her. There is still life after death, even if she doesn't want there to be. When she turns sixteen, her mom buys her a car, but that isn't the most intrancing gift she will receive. Not by a long shot. Soon, Chloe starts noticing changes about her. Changes she does her best to keep hidden, but they come more often and it's getting difficult to keep all the secrets unraveling from her best friends, Mila and Brent. When they find out what she's been hiding, they're determined to help her figure out what to do about it. It'll take more than digging up her past to get to the bottom of what she's experiencing--they'll uncover a war that's been raging for centuries. Now is not the time for Chloe to become a coward. That's not what her father would not, it's not the legacy he handed down to her. Somehow, she must find the courage to finish what was started by the ancestors of her father.
